Most people try to keep moths OUT of their houses. Here............we raise them!
Noah has been on a major insect kick this summer. We have a big insect house, a roly poly playground, a bug catcher, just to name a few. One day he found a bunch of fuzzy caterpillars and was just sure they would turn into beautiful butterflies. I tried to tell him that they weren't the right kind of caterpillars. He got so excited when they started to form cocoons. Next thing we know, we have a bug house full of moths. We managed to get a picture of Noah holding one before we set them free in the backyard.

What a wonderful process to watch, though for me the fuzzy caterpillars are so much prettier than the moth. Glad Noah had the experience including setting his moths free.
LOL! We do the same thing here. My boys even did a report on what type of caterpillars (Eastern Tent caterpillars) they were and what kind of moths they turned into. Very cool!
Better moths than some of the creatures little boys bring home! Too bad this couldn't be during school for a great science lesson...
Cute pic! He'll be the expert when they study insects/bugs at school:)
That picture is precious!!!
We've got TONS of bugs around these parts...Noah will be in heaven*!*
He's so cute!!!!
I just hope mine never go through that phase!I hate bugs!I can handle snakes, lizzards, cameleons, etc...But not bugs!
Take care!
