I Love A Great Quote!

"Most Folk Are About As Happy As They Make Up Their Minds To Be" ---Abraham Lincoln

Wow, that one really struck me. One thing I've come to realize lately is that the aspects of my life that I am unhappy with has to do more with my attitude towards it rather than any outside source causing it. It is up to ME to make myself happy, not anyone or anything else. Trying to change your attitude about certain things can be damn near impossible when you've spent 35 years of your life thinking and acting certain ways. Here and there I see little snippets of how happy I could be if I really wholeheartedly changed some things about myself. But more often than not, I get so discouraged at how slow and difficult the process actually is.

Abe is my favorite dead president...or my favorite president ever....I'd bet almost everything he ever said was "quotable"...and this one is also one of my favorites..:-)

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do.It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company...a church...a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past...we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude...I am convinced that life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it. And so it is with you...we are in charge of our attitudes. -Charles Swindoll

This is my favorite...the most important lesson I learned from the 21 Challenge. I will seriously stop myself in the middle of a meltdown and think of this~snaps me right out of it!

Love Ya Kel*!*

As someone who's going through a rough time right now, I can make it better or worse--it's all in how I think about it. Then my actions flow from my thoughts.

You can change, Kelly. If it's important to you, you can do anything. (Guess losing weight has never been that important to me.) Ha. Love you tons, Aunt Jer

I'm with Kelly...I thought Dianna was BRILLIANT there for a moment, but then I kept thinking..."I've heard this before". Wouldn't the world be a better place if we could all live with this philosophy? We can sure try!
