An Unexpected Surprise

I got a call last night from the boys' principal. She called to ask me if I'd be interested in being a teacher's aide for the preschool class. It would be 2-3 mornings per week from 8:20-11:30. To say I was excited was an understatement. To say it was rotten timing was an understatement also. She said I could take a day or two to think it over. If I'd gotten this offer 2-3 years from now, I'd snatch it up in a heartbeat. Right now, I have a good number of personal reasons that I can't take it. I am going to offer tomorrow to be a substitute for whoever they hire though. Then I can still have a taste of it. Who knows, I may get the opportunity again in the future?? Right now I need to do what's best for me, Aiden, and my family.

of course you would be a wonderful teacher's aide for any grade with the love you have for kids, and your belief in their possibilities. What positive reinforcement you would offer, but you are right to choose your own family at this time. If the principal wants you now she will want you in a few years too. (Just relay your enthusiasm and tell her to ALWAYS keep you in mind)

That's so cool!
But you're right...You should do what your heart tells you to do...
Take care sweetie! ;)

That's so hard: the right opportunity at the wrong time. But if they're interested in you now, I bet they'll still be interested in a couple of years.
